We use hot wax for this treatment, which is the preferred method for sensitive areas because it sets around the hair rather than the skin. This means it grips the hair effectively while reducing pulling on the skin itself, which keeps discomfort to a minimum. Your therapist will talk you through each step before it happens, and the treatment is carried out with fresh, disposable equipment for hygiene. Afterward, we apply a soothing oil, a warm towel and an antiseptic lotion to calm the skin and reduce any redness.
BOOK NOWHair should be at least three millimetres long, about the length of a grain of rice, for the wax to grip properly and give a clean result. If hair is shorter than this, we may not be able to remove it fully in one pass. Avoid tanning or sun exposure right before your appointment, and if you know you're more sensitive around your period, you might prefer to book outside those days. Wearing loose, breathable clothing to your appointment and for the rest of the day helps minimise irritation afterward.
Most clients book every four to six weeks. Regular waxing tends to result in finer, sparser regrowth over time compared with shaving.
It can feel more intense since more hair is removed and the area is more sensitive, but our use of hot wax specifically for this treatment is designed to reduce discomfort as much as possible. Most clients find it's over quickly.
A G string wax removes hair further along the bikini line but leaves more hair than a Brazilian, which removes hair from the entire pubic area. If you're unsure which suits you, our therapists can talk you through the difference at your appointment.
